Well car is coming off the road as the snow I'd just around the corner. So I'm looking for some build ideas, right now I'm running a stock 7 bolt in a 99 gst on a 16g at 15 psi, car has 3in exhaust turbo back long route fmic, fp exhaust manifold injen intake 1g bov and a bunch of other little bolt ons, Im looking for opinions on clutch setups, smim, and good built head. I'll be running a buschur 2.0 block and would like to max my 16g setup I have all fuel mods waiting to be installed and will be running link v3. Also anyone have any cool suggestions to throw out there be my guest I'm done to try cool new things

If you're looking to get into link, buy a good quality wideband, vac/boost guage and oil pressure.

For a clutch setup, buy a new flywheel so you don't have to deal with stepping it. You won't need a twin disc setup unless you really want one just to say you have it. An ACT street disc and a 2600 pressure plate should give you a good pedal feel and a lot of grip.

A really fun project that I'm in the middle of is swapping all the lines over to stainless braided with AN fittings, looks good and works great! Plus it's easy to find colours that will work with any colour preference.

I disagree. Do not trust the step on any flywheel including new. Measure the step for whatever clutch you have. Make sure your flywheel matches even if that nmeans you cut a brand new flywheel. Measuring yourself is the only way to be sure.

Now how is longevity on the act clutches. All ready got everything I need to run link except for well link ha. I have a couple stainless lines like my clutch and turbo feed lines, would love to do fuel and brake though.

Few good suggestions so far, but I wouldn't recommend a twin-disc. ACT 2600, or look into the South Bend clutches.

I wouldn't bother with the SMIM, people have run in the 10's with stock manifolds. Maybe if youre around 600whp, but not worth it IMO at lower power levels. Look into an Evo III/RVR intake manifold.

Check out some of the build threads on this site, everything from gutted drag cars to fully built road race monsters. That will give you some ideas on which way you may want to go with your car.

Get Link, some bigger injectors, and spend some time logging, tuning, and learning. The 16G is a good turbo to start with, and still make good power at high boost. Ran mine at 29PSI and it was a blast, until I got my HX35!
