Hello everyone I was hopping that somebody can help me out with my problem. I wash my car today, after I wash it I went for a 20min. drive on the highway. Then when I got to the stop light my car starting to vibrate, then after that the rear wheel lock up. So I spent $60 for a tow to get it home. At home I try to drive it back and forward a few time the the wheel starting to spin again. I haven't drive it far yet, I'm worry thet it might lock again. what could be the problem. Please help me Thank you

Sounds like a stuck caliper. The rear calipers float on the rear, if the boot has a tear or has deterioate and allowed moisture to enter they rust. Or build with dirt this a synthetic high pressure grease (very stickly) and prevents the caliper to float freely.

How do I unstuck it? Sould I drive it just like that?

sorry about the miss spell. How do I fix it? Is it safe to drive it like that?

Thanks a lot for the help guys. Hopping that thats the only problem.

The only luck I had with making one better was when I took the caliper off and just worked the ebrake arm on it for like three hours. I used a shit ton of cleaners and a pari of vice grips and just worked it back and forth. If loosened up quite a bit, but it wasn't ever right. I ended up replacing it though.

If thats the only problem then I'll just replace it, But is it OK to drive it around for a few days?

It'll probably be ok to drive around as long as it doesn't lock up on you again. LOL

But I would replace it ASAP.

Sounds good. I'll change it as soon as I have time to do it. Thanks for the help guys

Hello again guys. So I went for a drive today and the car runs for 2blocks then the rear wheel lock up again. I did the same thing drive it back and forward. I made it home but I drove backward. Do you guys think that still the break that got stock

Nick,
Did you ever find the reason? I had the exact same thing and it turned out to be the front passenger caliper seized. I ended up getting a couple junkyard calipers.

I had the same issue yesterday. Car locked up in reverse, but would roll again after going forward then back again.

I had already replaced all calipers but one that seemed ok when the others were replaced.

Turns out that the only one I didn't replace was the source of the locking up.
