okay my buddy (titogs95) bought a 1g awd a whila ago, and it had a bad 2nd gear, so he bought a new tranny, everything shifts fine, the only problem beofr was that the transfercase didn't have the right size, so that part was screwed after a few days, so he bought a new transfercase and put it on, and it fit fine and should have worked BUT f.e. going revers areound cornes, the car would lock the rear tires up???! also it felt like it was a fwd... so what could have happened? could it be that the x-fercase is bad? or that the center differential is bad? bc we changed the rear diff and got the same problem! thanks for any info/history/help from you guy's
