Alrite the guy who had my talon before me managed to move the whole ass end to the right and he bent the sway bar and i need a new one for cheap but all im finding on ebay is expensive ones just becuase they are a little thicker which at the moment i dont care about where do you suggest looking to find one cheap besides a junk yard cuz none in hte area even have any DSMs left

Your best bet would to try one of these places:
dsmtrade.com
the classifieds on this site
your local forums
and your closes area DSM forum as well.

or you can call around to the surrounding counties,or cities to try and find one

You could also remove it, however it will create slightly more roll and understeer.

which swaybar are you talking about? The FWD's did not come with a rear sway bar so anyone you find will have to be aftermarket, but the front can probably be replaced with a stock one.

well if its not the sway bar then what is it i know its not axel but some bar back there is bent

If you can do us a favor, put it up on jackstands, get under it nad take a few picutres for reference im sure one of use 40,000 can identify it, but a vague description, and someone who doesnt know what a sway bar looks like apparently, we cant help you right now.

You are talking about a FWD car, right? I know the bar you are talking about. It is the bar that attaches from the driver's side rear suspension, to a bracket mounted on the frame by the rear passenger wheel well, right? That bar keeps your entire rear suspension centered on the car. You cannot remove this bar and drive the car! If you remove it, there is nothing to prevent your entire rear end from moving side to side. Try it (with car on jackstands). You will be able to swing your entire wheel/hub assemblies side to side until they hit something.
That bar is pretty simple to fabricate a replacement for, if you don't want to get one from Mitsubishi. Just cut a rod to the correct length, and add some rod ends.

i circled the connecting bolt on the left side of the car in the first pic and the second pic right side connecting bolt is circled :talon:

That bar would be called the track bar and it should be pretty easy to find one from a junk yard as thats not really something that a lot of people have to replace.

FWD don't have a rear swaybar from the factory, they need one but they don't

thanks but there are no dsms in the junkyards in my area except an AWD one but thats useless to me

i bought the car and i dont know how but the guy before me managed to bend this bur can anyone tell me what this is and where to find another one input is much needed it connects to the driver side suspension and goes over to the right side and connects to a hanger there all i know is that my whole back end is shifted to the right because its bent and i need this fixed soon thanks :talon:

Sounds like your stab bar. Take a picture make sure it really is bent. Use some periods too! :D

oh ya i forgot to add some have called it a track bar and some stabilizer but according ot autozone the FWD doesnt have a track bar im so confused

Man you suck, the other post told you what it was and what to do. Its a track bar and to junk yard it. Look around for a fwd part out car in the classified on this board. You're terrible ROFL :p

haha ya but like i said autozone said they dont have track bars although i dont know if i believe them

I believe that they wouldn't. It is on of those thing you have to go to the junk yard for.
