2G Rear diff seal replacement

Hello,

Currently trying to change the seals where the axles go in at the rear diff on a 2g. The original seals are falling apart as soon as I try and remove them. Does anyone have any tips on how to get them out. I most likely can get the top portion off but there is a lip on the outside that will be buried if the top is removed

A simple angled pry bar pops when right out(just get in behind it) then just tap in the new one flush with a socket.

RTM Racing carries them.

I do have the new ones here from rtm, I have tried getting them to pop but they fall apart with how brittle they’re

There is a metal shell if I recall correctly and that's what you should be prying against. Right now it looks like you are just pulling the rubber off it.

Here is a photo of the new seals. There’s a metal spring inside but it all seems to be rubber

That's the correct seal. You just need to stick your pry bar in further from the looks of it.
