checked the forum and there were no specific details. my problem is exactly what the title is. i cant get the damn ####ing thing off. im trying to install new pads.... well i wish it could be as simple as swinging the caliper up, but there is no bolts to swing it up. its just a pin. how do i do this. i have been trying to disconnect the ebrake. well thats not working! need some advice on how to do this thanks.

All you hafto do is remove one, OR both of the 2 17mm Bolts that hold the caliper to the ''bracket'' it bolts too. It should come right up/off unless it's stuck in place, Which it shoudlen't be. You might hafto use a screw driver and pry it up, or a tap it up/off with a hammer (don't get crazy on it).

just did this today. Just remove the 2 14mm bolt/pins from the back of the caliper. then either pull it up by hand or use the screw driver to pry it up. simple as that.

Yes, I meant 14MM like rshissler said. They are 14MM!

Anyways, To get them in, You just remove the old brake pads, And if you don't have brake tools, You can use a large C clamp to push the ''piston'' back into the caliper ''bore'' so it's flush. Then, Throw the new pads on the ''bracket'', And put the caliper back on and your good to go.

A brake job on one of these cars should take no longer then 10 minutes each side, Start to finish and that's giving plenty of time.

so how that pin thats on the bottom of the caliper. can i just hit it with a flathead screwdriver with a hammer??? because if i could do that i could swing it up and get the pads in there. let me know guys!
