Like the title states, is there anyway to adjust the rear caliper body laterally to fit over the pads? I was trying to replace the rear pads and rotors on my '91 AWD and I can't get the caliper body to slide down over the pads. I've already compressed the piston into the body, so there is plenty of room on the inboard pad, but the outer portion of the caliper body hits the outside pad when swing the body down - preventing it from fully closing.

So I'm stuck with this. It's almost like the pads are too thick for the caliper. Am I going crazy or am I missing something here.

The piston is fully compressed. I found that the problem lies with the sliding pin on the top side of the caliper. Apparently it is rusted so it doesn't allow the caliper to slide like it is supposed to. So now the question is how do I take the pin out. Is it even possible? The FSM says that there is a bolt inside the sleeve that makes up the pin, but to me, it doesn't look like that.
