So found out that I have the evoIII 16g turbo. No boost leaks or exhaust leaks, no shaft play And still feels really sluggish and slow. I do not have a aftermarket boost gauge and the stock gauge in the cluster barely get half way up. No dtcs. What else could it be. What could I check?

Don't use the stock location and lines. T the bov line, connect a new line from the bov T to the in of the MBC, connect a line from the out of the MBC to the wastegate actuator. Cap off the nipple you have on the stock unit and cap off the nipple from the pipe that goes to the intercooler.

This way is more accurate ? I want to do which ever way is right and will work. In the link above it says not to use the bov line. I'm assuming there is many different ways to set it up

As long as it works correctly I'm going to use the nipple on the intercooler piping for my boost gauge

If the stock soleniod is the issue just run actuator pressure. IC piping nipple to the wastegate nipple. If its the wastegate actuator just get a new actuator from FP they have a 18psi one.

Ok so I got myself a agency power boost controller. Hooked the wastegate line on to the out side of the controller and I hooked the in side of the controller to the intercooler piping coming off the turbo. Seems to running good and working correctly. I just need to install a boost gauge so I know exactly what I will be boosting. If I wired the controller wrong please tell me. But I'm pretty sure it's right

Man I hope this is my issue! I've been looking for a post like this. I have the same problem. I can smash the gas/full throttle and it'll lag so damn bad until 30-40mph,and then I hear the spool and car takes off pretty decent. I do have a boost gauge, but it's digital, and only shows -14 at idle, and only ever seen it do -7. It never leaves the negative vac. I hope to God it's just the Wastegate/ b- solenoid. Right now I have my vac line ran from the intake into the top port of my bcs, and I have a vac. line "T'd" into the wastegate/Jpipe, into the bottom port of my bsc. My BOV is vac lined into the throttle body, and it is recirculated. Mods, 16g Turbo, Manifold, 255 fuel pump, Intercooler, Intake Cone, 02 Dump Housing, 3" Catback, and a Wideband, and BOV. Stock Injectors, Downpipe, Caty, and BCS. I'm not looking to go all crazy with it. I want to run it without a tune, and keep the boost under 20psi. But I do own a DSMLink V3

^^ Despite your obvious thread jacking, you need to find out how to use DSMlink properly BEFORE trying to raise boost.
Sorry OP.

I understand you fixed your problem OP, but due to the misinformation in the thread. I want to clear one thing up.

It is a well known MISTAKE to T into the BOV line for your wastegate. Do not do this. Use the stock vac lines for the solenoid, or run from the throttle body port to the mbc, then the mbc to the wastegate. If your j-pipe has a nipple, you can use it(this is where the factory comes from anyways. BOV should have it's own dedicated line for best response.

As for franky, you need to start your own thread. And TUNE the car with the 600 dollar software you purchased.

They make little vaccum caps that are usually sold at the auto parts store, should be good for capping anything you need off of the wastegate. I would get a manual boost controller and make sure all vacuum lines are tight and not leaking. The smallest pinhole in a vacuum hose can get moved around and leak enough to notice in some instances.
