So i got a guy thats going to sell me a big 16g mitsubishi turbo.
I was just wondering how to tell if its a real mitsubishi motors turbo.
The guy says its real but i dont know.

Hes selling it to me for $300 brand new, he says he gets parts from a wholeseller but im kinda sketchy.

He says the turbo retail price is $1749.00 but actual retail for it is $700.00

So is there anyway to tell if the turbos real or not?

Yes, total installed. We all know how the dealer likes to stretch out jobs like this when the labor rate is $100/hr+. They also change every little gasket and bolt knowing they'll profit 100% from each item they install.

This guy was telling the OP that the turbo alone cost $1749.

Well, the T25 isn't cheap either.
Dealer MSRP: $1,545.98

ha yea well it doesnt really matter anymore. i gave the guy a 100 dollar deposit to hold it for me about a week ago and when i called to tell him nevermind and that i wanted my money back his phone had been disconnected hahaha greeeaaat ROFL

:ohdamn::notgood::mad:

Sounds like the guy that I bought a rebuildable T25 core from one time for next to nothing on eBay. A month later, no turbo- I contacted him, he insists he sent it out via DHL but could not provide me with a tracking number. Tells me he'll send another because he has three of the identical turbos laying around.

Another few weeks go by, still no turbo....I file a Paypal claim and he left ME a negative feedback on eBay (back when sellers could leave negative) claiming I was a scammer and stating that he had sent two turbos to me that could not be traced in any way. I was so furious I could've punched an infant.

Ive ran into so many crooks like that. I wish we could throw them all in a barrel and light it up.

Did you end up getting your money back??

yea my friend spend 500 dollars on a block on ebay that he never got.

but i know exactly where this guy lives... im not sure what to do... hes got a dsm FULL of parts muhahahaha jk

but honestly this sucks :notgood:

We all have been burned. Its the nature of the beast when it comes to internet parts...just get over it and move foward and learn to be more selective about who you buy from in the future.

Did you end up getting your money back??
Of course I did....Paypal has never denied me a claim on a failed eBay transaction. It was the idea that I wasted over a month of my time and received a negative feedback over some doosh that didn't want to send me a $30 turbo that had me livid.

ha well the guy ended up calling me back. his phone had been disconnected. he says for the installation hes gunna order me a evo flange, cut the original one off my manifold, and weld the evo one on. is this worth it at all, or will it even work? i got a guy that wants to sell me a rebuilt MHI big 16g for $375 plus shipping. which should i go with?

i wonder why hed do that...im sure with that evo turbo your gonna have a hell of a time with the exhaust/intake plumbing as stated before. just go with the mhi B16g

He can cut and weld all the wants and it still won't work properly as that turbo is designed to rotate the opposite direction from our 16G's.

....and I can do better than that on a MHI Big 16G that is freshly rebuilt by myself. Tell the Evo VIII turbo guy you want your $100 back because he's trying to sell you a turbo that won't fit your car, and shoot me a PM.
