I had a rocker arm crack in two, and all the valves smashed the pistons badly. I fixed the gouges up best I could on the pistons, then tested for pinched rings using this method: http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/newbie-forum/450572-how-check-pinched-bad-rings.html
The oil drop was minimal after a few days. After a week, one had dropped noticeably, but only by a few centimeters. But when I just unwrapped it after a month, one cylinder has 3/4 the oil left, one is dry, and two are half empty.
This is alarming to me, since it seemed okay at first, but since it is a new motor with 70 miles on the rebuild it is probably a bad thing that they did not drain evenly.
Since it is almost new, can I get away with a minimal glaze breaking and a new ring? I broke it in hard.
