1G Radiator fan switch

Stupid question but a friend of mine implied that there may be a difference.

Is the radiator fan switch mounted in a Fluidyne radiator the same size, depth and thread pitch as the stock DSM part? In other words are they the same part?

Usually when you swap to an 1G DSM aftermarket radiator you move your thermoswitch from the old radiator to the new one. So it should be the same part and I've never heard anything about a Fluidyne radiator being different.
