Quitters- soon ghosts to us (selling/sold my DSM)

Once, when I got rediculously sick over my girlfriend's house in the winter time, with a bunch of snow on the ground late at night. I start driving home, and right before I hit the highway the transfer case locks up. I didn't have a cell with me, and had to flag someone down. I call AAA and its a 4-6 hour wait due to the snow storm. At that moment I thought that if for some reason there was a monster truck near by, I would really like to drive over my DSM. About 10 minutes later a state police cruiser pulls up and puts a call in for me. Luckily I was over the yellow line a little bit, and since we couldn't move the car he considered it a traffic hazzard. 10 minutes after that I was on a flatbed.

If you haven't thought about killing your DSM at one point, then you're doing it wrong. Mine should be glad I live within city limits, or it would have a few .223 holes in the block by now

im not too sure but will a .223 round even go through a 4g63 ...

That all depends on what .223 round you are firing . The .223 fired from an AR15/M16/M4 was designed to pierce an engine block.....

I always thought it would be so much fun to set a ramp up near a cliff side. Get some cameras, turn her on, and let her drive herself off the cliff and watch it fall. But you would need an auto for this. Kind of hard to do it in a manual unless you want to take the ride with the car.

well I'm selling the talon now as we speak.

But I bought a nice 89 mustang lx 5 speed for CHEAP from a old family friend (might as well be my grandpa)

the car has a 358 ci with GT40 heads and upper and lower intake.
e303 Cam
BBK cold air with a 70 mm tb
Tremek T5
Ford racing heavy duty clutch
Long tube headers (dont know the brand)
Motor has about 4k on it. (he doesn't drive it much)
Eagle crank
Eagle rods
11.0 cr
3" cowl hood (fiberglass)
Fiberglass hatch

78k on the body
2 1/2 dual exhaust

mmm thats all I can think of on the top of my head. Car ran mid 11's on et streets.

The only thing I'm going to do to the car is get some weld drag lites and some new springs to lower it a bit.

Sounds healthy goes strait down the road with the hammer down.

I really dont want to sell the talon but I got the mustang for super cheap and I really didn't want to take the talon down to Bama with me.

No pics yet. I have it in wedged in the garage. I might take it out a time or two before I leave to head to alabama but I will get them up here.

I plan on getting another DSM some time down the road but right now I'm tired of them.

Is it still FI or carbureted?

A nice Chicago winter would bring you right back to the DSM

I am moving to bama for the fiance because her dad is the dean of something or other down there and she gets free school for the next two (last) years.

I dont know if Im going to attend Uof A or not. I hate that school (being from florida) so I dont think I will do that. Maybe a cc or something along the lines of that.

Procharging is pretty sick though. Glad to see you got a 5oh though.
If I ever decided that I wanted to build something besides a DSM it would definitely be a fox body mustang!

I honestly dont street race. Its not worth it having a CDL and all.

Probably just a weekend car and strip car.

Ford racing crate motor gt40 with 9.0-1 comp ratio is 340hp out of the box with the same e303 cam.

Those are the aluminum heads and the iron ones produce more power for some reason.
