no I didn't

come on man you think I would miss something simple like that?

Its the DSMlink chip because the car ran on a stock eprom chip just when I put the dsmlink chip in it doesnt work again.

So you downgraded?

Its a lateral move. I love my DSM but I'm not blinded to think that a DSM is the greatest vehicle in the world.

Well I did it, sold my 99 GSX. I didn't think I would be able to do it. I was selling it last summer but backed out cause I wasn't ready to sell. But this summer I was going to add a hta 3582 t3 setup but I figured I already spent alot on my car and to spend another 3-4k would be a waste and I have been wanting an evo 9 mr. So I dropped the car off today and it was tough, had the car for 4 years, did everything to it but it was time to let it go. I just want to thank the people who have helped me over the years, I learned alot on this site, but I'll still be around. Next weekend I am picking up a 2006 evo IX MR GG with 8k on it. I'll get pic when I get it.

Wow! Your car was nice and all that!
Mines was a civic with all the goodies. Not ricey but wid jdm parts, work rims. One of the nicest civic in town. All the attention I could get from the import lovers. Hard to sell but we know we couldn't die owning the same car!

That's so sad I remember when you were building that thing. Can you PM me how much you sold it for? I know yours had a lot of similar mods and would like to know what the price was (I may join you in this Ghost thread in the future).

I am buying a Jeep. The reason i have to consider getting rid of my DSM is due to the fact that i am in the military. At any given moment i need to be able to drive over 20 miles to work. I love the DSM world, and i dont really want to completly remove myself from it. I am deliberating on keeping my DSM or not as a project car.

What do you guys think keep it (it is a GS-T)? Or dump it?

Well, as fate would have it my GST got totaled, just as I finally got my s16g installed. After speaking to my insurance adjuster he basically explained to me the situation I was in. The car had 2 dead titles on it that I had no previous knowledge of. It was totaled the first time in 98 and the 2nd in 99. From 99-04 the car was in 9 different accidents that I was also not aware of. The amount of my insurance check went from 8200 to 3883 in a matter of seconds. Now you and I both know that you can't find a reasonable turbo DSM for 4k. So after a month and a half of searching and being carless I had to settle with something a little different. I just purchased a white 00 Mustang 3.8 for an insanely good price.

So this is my quick farewell to all of you who have helped me along the way with the gst and as well with my previous n/a cars. Maybe our paths will one day cross again and I'm sure my break from the DSM game might not be permanent.

Sorry buddy. Car fax is your friend. Hopefully you learned, and use the car reports now before you buy. I had a similar situation when my 1g was totaled and they offered me 1200 bux for it. Our cars, especially 1gs are not worth squat. I bought it back from them and raped it for parts and found a shell a year later to put my turbo and engine in.
