also found something kinda interesting. while doing the boost leak test, i check the play on the turbo and theres no side-to-side play but theres alot the other way. i think i read something on this before but i dont remember for sure.

Hey, I just got my S2000 antenna today, and the screw is too small to screw right in. I have a 1g so it should be able to screw right in? Any ideas? I searched but all I found was 2g info, I know they should be able to just screw in b/c i've talked to people that had them on the talon spoiler and they said it just screws in? But the screw is too small??

If it just does it on startup more then likely its just the car warming up & is normal. If it continues once the car is warmed white some would indicate antifreeze burning.

What he said.^^

Have someone follow you and see if your car is puffing smoke on shifts, if it is and its a bluish tinge then your rings could be on their way out.

Go and pick up a compression tester and go to here http://www.dsmgrrrl.com/FAQs/compression.htm for a run through of how to complete a test. That will be your best bet to tell what is going on in your motor.

You can pick up a compression tester for $15 at wall mart.

your profile doesnt say much about your car.

Id check your turbo for signs of death.

Ah, well I have a 97 gst thats ####ed as we speak.

Im trying to do a crap load of maintaince on my 91 corolla, and everyone here has helped me alot before, so i just keep the questions kinda vague.

Thats not a good way to get good help.

I have a quick question about injector size. Im thinking about getting the Fuel Kit from Extreme PSI and im wondering if i should get 550's or spend the extra money for 650's. My plan it to get an 18G later on, Im just wondering if 550's will flow the 18g.

Thank you for the quick reply. I'll probably just go with 650's or maybe larger.

I would also like to keep the tuning as easy as possible.

From my personal experience is to go big. u can always tune them down. but if all you're gonna run is an 18g and have no future plans then 650's will work. but if you're even thinking about getting a bigger turbo i'd go with bigger injectors now so you won't have to do it down the road.

yeah im afriad that if i get an 18G then i'd want to go bigger again. Plus i haven't really decided on a 18G, Bullseye 50trim or a SBR G50...

Go alot bigger then. What are you planning to use for tuning? ### you can always tune your injectors down. I had 550's with a 16g then went with 650's and now i gotta go bigger for a gt35r. u can sell ## injectors easily in the future if you want but you'll be out that money. buy everything big so you won't ever have to re mod.

Yeah good point. But for now all i'll have to tune is a pocketlogger and SAFCII, dont you think 780's will be a little rough for the SAFC?

720's should be enough also, unless you're gonna go really big. how much boost do you plan on running with a 50 rim, under 21?

Well my real goal is about 400awhp, wich is just a goal i wouldn't mind 350 or around there.

720's and sbr's g57 should do it. that was the setup I was gonna go with but i've switched to a gt35r. If you're not sure you can always call slowboy, that's what i did and they'll work with you and your budget to try and get you what you want.

thanks for all the help.

no problem, choosing a turbo is never any fun because your mind will change every day. Once you have a set goal of what you want to run then it becomes easier. Talk to John at slowboy and tell him what hp and time you want to run and he'll help you out.

hey guys i have a quick question ive heard alot of guys sayin to put 3g lifters in the head why ? is there any particular reason?

Yes these are the updated lifters. They seat better in the head and often times people get a clicking from their stock lifters, this is why they replace them to the 3g style. The lifter set is relatively expensive if you buy them new.
