I have a metal intake pipe laying around and I've noticed that it doesn't have the little holes in it for the vacuum tubes that are connected to the stock pipe. I believe there are three of them and I'm not exactly sure what they're for. Does anyone know if these are needed? Will my motor run ok if I put on the metal pipe and get rid of the hoses and plug up the holes with a filter of some sort? If I need them connected, I'll have to drill holes into the pipe where I can put them in.

Also, another question. I was looking around on www.vfaq.com tonight because I was bored, and I came across this. Has anyone tried this before? I'm thinking about giving it a shot. Any opinions?

i know i just saw this exact same thread somewhere, but anyways..
#1 is a return line (so you don't vent your BOV)
#2 goes from the valve cover
#3 goes to the charcoal canister under the battery

the bov return line... i think it's necessary, some don't... but venting it bad!
the valve cover line... either use a catch can, or just run the hose straight down
the charcoal canister.... isn't neseccary

Yes there was a thread about this, not 2 days ago. All you really need is the dump tube for the BOV. Other then that, the other ones are not absolutely neccessary
