This post isn't for my dsm its for my friends build up of his turbo 97 gst.

So he's got alot of money tossed in this project but we didnt research much. So he ordered a dejon tool intake pipe as his intake. Also he ordered a slowboy fmic kit. Is the dejon tool intake still needed?

Which slowboy kit did he get? As far as I know, intercooler kits (intercooler and piping) is all the pipes AFTER the turbo (from the outlet to the IC, then IC to the TB) The intake pipe is just from your filter to the turbo inlet. Unless you mean he bought dejon IC piping as well.
 
he just bought the intake pipe not the i/c kit from dejon tool. But after looking at some pics from other turbo dsm's i believe we are doing the right thing and he didnt buy any parts that overlap.

Yes. Like mentioned above, they are two different things.
