I was wondering which turbo is better for my 500-550whp goal? the PTE 5857 or the 6262, or I was also wondering weather or not to do hx40, I just don't know where to find the hx40 at. Also was wondering which inj. to use. I currentyl have 1050cc fic's, but I know for sure I can't make 500 if I would run e85 through those. Anyone know which size to go with if i switch to e85? Or should i stick with pump 93?

Holset i see them on ebay, also try freelancers here, also try the classifeds i see them here and there, so i know there out there. Holset you will need a bep housing, not sure about the other turbos, have you looked on the forums yet?

It's no secret that Precision journal bearing turbos have reliability issues. I'll go far enough to say that if you're considering either of these turbos in a journal bearing cartridge, you should probably choose the Holset instead.

Ball bearing is a different story.

Ya journal bearing is what I was thinkin, I wanna buy new or at least know the turbo is good, because I was ripped off on a 50 trim I bought. Im thinking holset would be cheaper anyhow, is the lag bad on the hx40? And any opinion on what size inj. to run to hit my goal? I am willing to try any turbo just has to be bolt on-due to the fact I have all my new o2 housing and tubular ready to go!

Holset not a direct bolt on, dsm link go with the biggest injectors you can. You have all supporting mods for your goals of 500 hp, im assuming correct? For the goal holset like justin said unless you get a ball bearing pte.

ya I have every bolt on, built long block, Eagle H beams, Wiseco 1400 hds, stock crank polished, arp mains, arp headstuds, MLS headgasket, GSC S2 cams, Beehive springs/ Retainers. Inj ill need to upgrade for e85, Im running the 255 fuel pump someone told me to get a different one thats just bigger, and turn my fuel pressure up to like 53 or 54. Im really interested in the hx40 if anyone finds one for sale or has one with the bep housing ill buy it off ya!

For 550whp in a bolt-on housing you will need the HX40 for sure. PM me if you're looking for the turbo itself and I'll see if I can help you out- you'll have to pick up a Bullseye turbine housing from one of the vendors.

You're definitely going to run out of injector on E85....and it will be damn close on gasoline as well.

Exactly what I figured and ya im very interested in buying one, I have the money set aside for the pte so I know ill have enough for the hx40! Do you know what size of inj to go with? Any sort of chart saying what inj may max out at or anything!? And I was told 500whp is gonna be very tight on those 1050cc fics

Id do 1600's minimum and preferably either FIC 2150 high z or the Injector Dynamics 2200's. The high z's will idle much better and are superior in performance compared to the low z's. With the 2150's or 2200's you'll never need to upgrade. They will also have a lot lower duty cycle with e85. Go big and be happy!
