Superman Update

Hey guys I am thinking about ordering the Kiggly springs and retainer kit (it's on sale); From what I can see, they seem to be the best on the market. Also went to the E-town shootout. Here are some pics.

I had a chance to speak with Jeff Bush about my E85 setup. He gave me a lot of good advice.

Superman Update

Ok guys, just got my seat. These things look good, but they are too wide. I test fitted them in the car and they didn't fit. I am going to have to return them and get the smaller one. Hopefully returning them won't be painful.

Welcome to my world. I don't know how anyone runs these fancy seats with anything less that a very custom cage that bends around the seat tighter than 135 pound guys ass in prison. I just gave up and I"m going back to a Kirkey and some custom brackets. It's easier to custom fab a seat mount then a whole cage.

Tell us what Jeff Bush said about e85!!!!!

Jeff basically told me that I have to build my fuel system to support twice the power I am trying to achieve at the wheels. So if I want 1000 whp, my fuel system would have to be built to support 2000hp. With E85 you need more fuel to make the same power as with race gas. I also need a monster fuel system. This would include -10 lines, multiple fuel rails, and very large injectors, 1600cc and up. He advised I don't have to use multiple pumps. I can just use one Magnafuel pump; cost $500, but flows like crazy. He also said, depending on the turbo, I don't have to use a lot of nitro. A 75 shot to get the turbo spooled should be fine. Jeff is truly the man.

I think some where in this thread you mentioned that you were going to have JMF install the cage for you. Any idea on how many hours of work this takes, or have you gotten a quote from them?

Thanks,
Bill

I don't know how long it would take. The price is estimated at around 3,000 for a chromoly 10 point cage with the options I want.

The cage is keeping the seat from fitting?

No the cage is not in yet. The seat doesn't fit in the car. It is too wide. How did you get yours to fit? I need the seat in before I can get the cage per JMF. I think I will have to send it back. Please post some pics of them installed in your car.

OK guys, I am still working with the company that sold me the seat. I am going to exchange the seat for a smaller seat. I did pick up some more parts. I picked up a main girdle which was on sale. I also picked up a 3.5HD drive shaft from the classifieds and ordered the Kiggly Springs while they were on sale.

Superman Update

ok guys, I just got my Kiggly springs in the mail. (Kevin is the man.) I also got a deal on an upgraded Tcase from Dogbox Racing, so I had to get it; picked it up today in Jersey. Alex and Chris were super cool dudes. Alex talked with me for about two hours while he was working on his blue Evo (that car is amazing). This guy is a wealth of knowledge. He gave me pointers on everything from the AEM setup to the drag suspension. He was really cool and took the time to break everything down to me. I do customer service for a living, so appreciate when people take the time to answer questions from their customers. I will definitely be going back to them for the trans and some other things.
