Well I'm good to go with pistons now:D I'll be ordering them threw Jeff in about a week or two and then I can take it the machine shop and get it bored and cleaned and then reassembled.

To anyone looking to get what they need Jeff is def the man he's not just some parts pusher he's a real dsm guy who knows what he's talking about :thumb::thumb:

Got my mounts back from steve. I"m the first he said to do more than just the roll stops. I now have all solid mounts(The front is taken care of via Paul's bar). My oil pump also came in so I did the first step of the balance shaft elimnation which is really the only step that takes a little TLC the rest is easy.

I found a good deal on a local SBR race fmic and a guy on the link forums and I traded my msd dis 2 setup for a coolmist kit so that's the way I will be going for cooling my hx52's charge. Should be good times. When I pick up the FMIC either tomorrow or friday I will post pics like with everything else.

Is that a ebay BSE kit?? I was told there are issues with the stub shafts. I would go OEM.

I heard the shaft tears up the front case. Doesnt matter to me if you use it. Just throwing it out there. Me, myself, have never used anything but OEM so I couldnt say from experience.

I have used the bsek's from PCI that are sold on ebay, and I have no regrets. They are the same ones sold from Partsdinosaur with their timing belt kits.

Yeah I didn't just go on ebay and pick the first BSEK I found I looked at the kits saw what people thought in the feedback and on here because feedbakc is usually left before you use it and didn't hear anything bad from the place I got mine from. I also inspected it and will do so tomorrow to before I put it on the pump which is actually a OEM pump from a ebay seller too.

What's funny is I post up pictures of the only aluminum solid motor mounts Steve has made to date and everyone is talking about the BSEK LOLoLOL

This was my Living room build!! notice the green FPgreen turbo!! thats right in my living room. i guess the need for a fast dsm outweighs the need for a garage.. ahhh the good ol days

Nice build. Your engine would probably glow in the dark if your headlights ever went out.

Looking good Sean. Get those motor mounts powdercoated, they're looking a little rough. LOL

Real ruff but I'm not gonna waste money powdercoating. I"m gonns tape off the aluminum that sticks out and just prime it and paint it with the rest of the engine bay when I give it another coat. My paint guy is dealing with a lot of stuff so I'm just gonna paint it myself. It won't be as pretty but this isn't a show car it's a go car. As long as it dosen't look like a HS kid did it I will be cool with that. He already did the hard part he put a base coat on and filled my rear wiper and atenna whole. At this point I can't really afford to not have the paint work done much longer because the shortblock atleast should be done within the next month or so.

Here is a BSE solution I've used with great success. Before you yell "but what if you rev the sucker the 8500rpms and out flys the plug", calculate the rotational speed of the plug in that shaft at 16K (twice the engine rpm) and then calculate the rotational momentum. :) if you wast your time doing that, you'll see the tensile strength of superglue is strong enough. JB weld is insurance.

I would be worried about the head building up and melting superglue. Not to mention jb weld cost $5 and took 2 minutes to do. Worth it in my mind. For $30 I have no more balance shafts and I have piece of mind which is priceless :)

I wouldn't be staying true with the name of the thread if I cut corners on something like this so CHerry HIll Mitsu is getting the OEM shaft for me for tomorrow for $10 and I"ll just chuck the ebay stud.

I was joking about the superglue. The point is that you can do the Bshaft elimination for next to nothing if you have a way to plug the hole on the oil pump bshaft after you cut it.

I wouldn't doubt it but I don't have a way of cutting it myself so by the time I pay or get someone to do it I will have wasted either the same amount of money or enough time to have been worth the money I spent. you figure $25 for the ebay kit which I"m using the plug and the bearings without the oil passages and $10 for the OEM stud still makes it cheaper than Extreme and anywhere else. To be honest I like the idea of jbweld and a metal plug better than the OEM rubber sides plug anyway.
