Why did you change the shell car ?

.....

The new one has a more street friendly cage in it, it already has the chuete mounted and the cable ran along with the lever, and it still has an interior. All of which add up to a car that I can still reach my ET goal but have a car that I can also drive on the street without looking like a honda kid with one seat mounted to the floor and nothing else LOL.

wow i think the only part of your house we dont have pictures of is your bathroom! haha looking good

Yeah I did the same thing with this front bumper as my last bumper with the ruber lining on the edges to conseal any imperfections made by cutting. It's not al that hard. Just use a ruler to mark it before you cut in and like I said pick up window lining at like home depot and your set.

As for the bathroom watch what you ask for I do have some stuff I need to clean LOL j/k

I think I started a FX1 seat chain, so far its me, superman, now you that have them. I would of made a great dealer if i was promoting these seats LOL.

I hear ya. I mean I always liked them but I thought they cost more than they actually do. Especially considering the company I got them from didn't charge me shipping which is what kills you with seats. I got them for $598 to my door from a company called Apex or something like that online.

+2 for the bath pic. We need to see how feminine that baby is :D

Good to see the progress continues, man. As much as I bust your balls about it, I like that you are letting the process determine how long it will take, instead of trying to fit the process into a time schedule :thumb:

I have RNRs and yes you have to machine some off of the main cap buy you do not have to touch the piston walls or anything else.

The HDs will require you to massage your oil squirters if you are running them to get them to clear and not end up in the pan.

O ok. I just figured u would have to ### iv had to with every other aluminum rod iv ever used, groden, Bme, ect.

Yeah I think with a 20 over on a stock 2.0 crank and block that I should be good with just the mains. If not it is not a hard thing to do to make clearance.

yea. If it dont fit then wow you'll set urself back 20 min to machine then down. LOL

Pretty much. Things are slow right now cause my job is on strike but good thing is we're suposed to get a signing bonus when we settle so that would mean that clutch I need would be coming sooner then later.

Tomorrow I"m going to work on the rear because I have a idea that I think will make it look a lot better and functional at the same time.

Got her out of storage gave her a bath then took some pics. These pics don't even do the car justice. Other than the fact that it looks like it's on stilts this is BY FAR the best shell I have ever had. I looked underneath and casey gave it the full prothane bushing kit too which is a plus :)

I finally got turbo installed a similar setup as Slippi84, 16 cm HX52, JH Racing manifold, and 2x 38mm wastegates and something tell me he'll like it. It's a super fast spool turbo. I've only got a safe street tune, but it sees 20 psi at 4300 rpm on my Kelford 280 cams. It's nearly as fast as my previous setup of the T3 HX40.

That is good to hear. I kinda figured it would spool pretty dam fast for a turbo capable of 800whp.

I just got my custom muffler in the mail today with my alternator relocation kit. I'm kinda mixed to because Jay took care of me and I don't want to push something someone else is selling that he makes but I had secondnature make me this muffler and he also sells alternator relocation kits so I picked up both and he does great work. I would def send anyone looking for something custom his way because he did a great job with both pieces and was easy to deal with and a stand up guy. Anyway I'll let the pics do the talking

It's actually not as bad as one would think having a 4" side exhaust without any sort of muffler, but quieter is better especially if you plan on taking it out on the streets.

BTW, is that some sort of resonator? By the interior shot it just seems like a straight pipe with no silencing power.

It has grading in it to muffle the sound a little. I'm not exspecting it to be quiet but one straight ppipe can sound like a boat sometimes and like u said this is a street car first thus the new shell.

Side exit kind of cancels the street aspect of it though doesn't it?

It'll be ridonkculously loud with a side exit.. Are those legal in the tristate, we'd be done in a second out here in Nazi CA. LOL

Keep up with the updates, keep the hope alive!

I haven't driven around that often in the Midwest area, but my friends say even though the cops clearly sees there's no cat and no way you can get by smog check they are fine with it as long you're respectable to the neighborhoods and the most they'll do it fine you for noise disturbance unlike CA where they'll impound the car and put it back to street legal.

BTW, idle doesn't sound too bad and as long as I go easy on the throttle in the streets it ain't so bad.

Yeah where I'm at if you have a inspection sticker and your not like flooring it or you don't sound louder than muscle car guys they usually don't say anything. Hopefully this helps put me closer to that. Besides this won't be a everyday street car and with the shoot on the back most cops will assume I'm going to atco or a show

Most states aren't car nazis like Cali. I drive with my side-exit exhaust open about 90% of the time, and I've never had an issue here in Michigan.

That chute isn't removeable?
It appears that it is, being that it was removed when the car arrived to Sean. (see previous page)

I just went with a 4" exhaust out the back with no type of muffler. I wonder if NYPD would harass me for the sound. Im glad my military ID gets me out of this most of the time.

Yeah the chute comes off.

No I see that it unbolts.. But I was asking if the the actual chute bracketry is removable. As in you can pull the thing off and never know the car had a chute to begin with, or does it chill like a bike rack of some sort.

Like I said, view the previous page. The chute (bracketry and all) is removable.
