Last week i clean/degrease my motor it ran fine.. So I decided to take it around the block the car turned off and would not start.. So I check to see if i was getting spark no spark.. i check to connector with a test light and I'm getting power there could it be a bad coil from the water hitting it? also I'm getting gas pressure.

Check and test the cam angle sensor and or the crank angle sensor. that would be my first bet. there's a testing how to in the haynes manual.

Every time something like this has happened to me it's been a harness knocked slightly loose. Not visibly disconnected from its plug but enough that it wasn't connected. Check your harnesses for the coilpack, power transistor pack, crank angle sensor, and cam angle sensor.

Could just be water in a connector shorting something. Once it dries out it may be fine again and if it is you need to put dielectric grease in all your connectors for engine sensors to keep water from shorting them in the future.
