No spark/Coil pack and transister getting hot

I just finished installing my engine after rebuilding it. The check engine light wont come on when u first turn the key to the on posistion, it doesnt have any spark and the coil pack and transistor both get warm/hot with the key on for a few mins. I dunno whats goin on any help would be greatly appreciated

welp after changing the mpi relay under the dash i can now get it to start but it will only run for a few sec maybe 40 max, then it dies and u hear clicking from under the hood. any ideas?

You could have a bad ecu. Have you checked the caps in it?

yep, i checked them before i put the ecu in and just a few mins ago and it looked perfect. Now i got it running but its weird like itll idle fine sometimes and rev to 4 then after 4 it starts to break up and then when u let off after hitting 4 it just runs like poop, mean while the tach is jumping up and down and the check engine light comes on and off
