OK, just looking for some input here, especially if anybody has taken this route. I'm running a 62-62 turbo, so spool time will be slower than I like. To get this sled moving a little sooner I was tossing around the nitrous / methanol questions in my head. My thoughts were to run a wet nitrous kit, and I had considered a few options. Option 1 is to run methanol on the fuel side of the kit with it's own seperate tank, pump, and some sort of a pressure cutoff switch so if the methanol fails, it would disarm the nitrous. If I went this route, I would be tuning the car on 93 octane and spraying it all the way through the powerband. Option two is to tune the car on e85, and just run a standard wet kit with fuel on the wet side. If I took this route, I would also run a pre-throttle body methanol kit along with it, and have the nitrous disarm when the car hits full boost, then just run methanol on the upper end of the rpm range so I could run higher boost safely. Just looking for some educated feedback because this will make a big difference in injector sizing when I get ready to order. Also fyi, the car will be AEM managed to keep control of all of this.

If you are tossing methanol around, I would just stick to using that. You can safely increase timing, boost, and lower your IAT with methanol.

Using a 1gph nozzle pre turbo will also help spool and decrease the temperature of the air charge. Straight meth is suggested as it has a very good atomization compared to H20 and will vaporize which is what you want to happen pre turbo.

If you are wanting to run a dual pump setup then choose 100% meth pre turbo and then spray water post IC as H20 has a higher heat transfer than methanol which will cool the air charge more and lower CC temps.

If you are going with E85 then methanol is not needed at all as there will be minimal gains if any for any spray post turbo. Pre turbo spray will still help out however.

If this is not a track car, I wouldn't add in nitrous as the meth injection whether you go with pure meth, 50/50, or windshield washer fluid will (should) be enough to get your extra power.

I'm personally running a Devils Own Stage 1 universal kit spraying 31% meth by weight washer fluid through a DO10 nozzle.
