i have a 1g awd trans and was wondering if anyone knows if the differential can be taken out and transplanted into a 2g fwd tranny so as to have lsd? or am i completely off here?

Actually no factory US transmissions came with a limited slip front diff. My buddy picked up a ### evo3 motor off of an ebay seller that had a limited slip, but thats the only way your gonna find an lsd in a factory trans. Besides that the ring gear and the bearing are different on an awd diff. Dont remember if the case of the diff is even the same.

My suggestions would be just throwing in an insert for now, then saving up for good Shep basic build with one of their new budget "Wavetrac" diffs.

Some AWD cars had a LSD rear diff. Front diffs are all open.
