2g awd tranny in 2g fwd

although i already know that the awd tranny will bolt up to the block, my main question is pretty much, will it work? i mean will the tranny function as a normal fwd tranny? i know the gears are different but besides the obvious all i need is a yes or no.

Yes, but you need to find a way to block off the output shaft that goes to the trasfer case. Contact TRE, they would know.

you need to lock the center diff, you can weld it and you will need to cover the output shaft hole.

I guess the 1g internals never worked out in your 2g?

Or did you bother trying?
