I really hope this is a joke or the OP is just giving some April fools trolling.

This is way too much car for someone who has to ask questions. Especially if your coming from an Automatic Corsica...

This cannot be serious..... So you have 32k to throw at a heavily modded car that you know nothing about and cant even drive? On top of that why would twiks69 sell his car off like this? Why is there a douche canoe as an avatar? What is going on?? ??????;;;

youve nvr bought a car you new nothing about??? thats why i joined this site to learn about them. i've always wanted to learn manual and have some friends who say it's not hard to learn so why not

and yes i have the money to buy this car

You will ruin that car if you put chrome wheels on it! And on top of that everyone will make fun of you.

theres a lot of older muslce cars and classics around here with chrome so i dont think a lot of people wil make fun of me.

we all have to start somewhere so i figured why not start ahead of the curve a bit. it'll save me some thinking and trial/error since the cars has already been running well in the past.

sorry english isn't my first language.

calan, i know what I have - a fast car. now i know i won't be able to use it to full potential on the streets but do you think i'll have any traction issues if i don't get on it all the way?

why is that funny? any suggestions on what i can do to get more traction? maybe run slicks? or should i turn down the boost?

also, any idea how hard it would be to put the a/c back in? it gets REALLY hot here in the summer and i'd like to not sweat my balls off LOL

This might be my last post on this site, but there's no way I'm letting you pull this crappy move. Wasn't Tim talking in the private forum on Friday about rod knock? And now he suddenly wants to try a Mazda and has sold the DSM? Just because this guy has more money than sense doesn't mean you should rip him off.

If I'm not remembering stuff correctly, then I'm sorry. I can't find the thread now, which makes me even more suspicious.

To the OP: have the car checked by an expert immediately. If you paid by check, put a hold on it. You can apologize later if you have to. But that's a boatload of money.

Drive with the windows down.

You won't be able to reinstall the AC or heater stuff. They have been completely deleted.

You will be getting a set of R-compound tires on 17's and the slicks on the 16's.

The only way you will be getting traction is if you turn the boost all the way down. If you like, I can put a lower psi spring in the wastegate so you don't kill yourself.

If anything, I would strongly recommend going to some car dealerships and "test drive" some used cars to get a hang for driving a manual transmission car first. That way, you won't have to wreck the transmission that is in the Eclipse. Like I told you over the phone, it is really easy to drive, you simply need to take some practice with getting used to the race clutch that is in it.

I turned the car on last week Saturday at the shop, it sounded just fine to me.

I can't delete threads in the private forum, so you must be thinking of someone else. Maybe lofty.

OK, so I found the thread in question and I sincerely apologize to Tim. I should have known better. Good luck to both of you. My guess is that one of you is going to be surprised and the other will have second thoughts, but I wish you both well.

ps. the OP is darned lucky that I got sidetracked with my faulty memory; I normally would have ripped him a new one by now

Hahaha.... Oh wow, i pray the OP does not get this car. This is wayyy too much car for you, and if your worried about the headlight passing state inspection, than just wait till your show them under the hood. But yeah, shame to see the car go out like this.

I don't know what to say to this thread anymore. Guy who has never built, tuned, repaired, or even driven a DSM wants to buy a purpose built DSM?

I await the help threads. The many many help threads.

hmmm going from 100 hp car that is a auto to a 8sec car that is a man and never drove a clutch before i give that tans less than a day and the clutch plate 20 min :( pore car not meaning to sound like a ass but as i told my daughter for your first fast car it not going to be a lambo

i relay hope this a April fools joke

I call bs on all this. Your current car is a corsica and you have 30k to drop on a drag car. On top of that you want it as a weekend driver for car meets when it sounds like you know nothing about cars in general. What are you going to say when someone asks you about the motor? (Uh its shinny and goes real fast). You want to learn about cars then build your own, don't buy a finished drag car and call it your own.

Omg I hope this car doesn't end up wreck or something, well guys I guess we're going to check the classifieds often if there's any parts he's selling. From this gsx.
