possible new purchase - help please!!!

hey peeps, i figured i'd start a thread now that im seriously considering buying a dsm. i saw a silver eclipse for sale that a budyy of mine shared with me on facebook. i got a very nice amount from a trust fund and have always wanted a really fast car. supposidly this one is fast so i wanted to ask wheres the best place to learn about these cars. can anyone tell me what things i should look for when i go check this car out?

I am not getting out of the DSM scene anytime soon, nor am I stopping working on transmissions of any sort. It was simply a fun April Fools joke.

Sorry guys....I am normally not a joke kind of guy; I am pretty serious and honest; so that is probably why it took hold fairly strong; no one would have expected me to play a joke like this. My phone, facebook and PM's were blowing up all night and throughout today.

My car is safe and sound in storage currently.

My car is always for sale; but for the right price, and most definitely not available to mouth-breathers. It will never be parted out unless something happened to the chassis.

This is most definitely a joke. My car is not sold, nor would I ever sell it to a person like the OP.

Do people seriously think I would be that much of an asshole? , anyone who really knows me that if I ever sold my car, it would go to someone who would be an experienced mechanic and safe racer.

Tim i knew it! i was gonna post ealier today that please keep building transmission for us and then saw the whole rod knock stuff, and i was like nah it can't be true Tim is not like that and he would never sell it to someone like that even hough i just know you by PMs. I just have to say that ill keep buying drivetrain stuff always from you.

Is the whole avatar stuff also a joke?

I'm glad someone said this. There was some worry that someone might take too seriously my attempt to distract you all from thinking about April First. I completely agree: Tim would never do that.

I am not in control of the Avatar stuff; mine I was able to switch for some reason, but it is probably because I cleared my user profile information, changed my avatar, added my "RX-7" and mod list, and then recently cleared my entire profile again, and started redoing my profile description.


Ethically and morally, I could never sell something known bad/defective/broken/whatever to a customer unless it was fully disclosed. Even then, if it was my car, there would be no way in hell I would dump it with a dead motor. I don't think I could even sell it with a couple minor door dings in it; I would have paintless dent removal fix it first. I am way too much of a detail-oriented perfectionist to be this mean to anyone.
