please help! weird whining noise!

ok so finally after getting my car(95 eclipse GST back on the road and the 6 bolt swap i have a problem. Fist off on the block one of the ears that bolts the tranny and block together are broken off but it was like that when i bought the car and it never was a problem ive always been pretty easy on the car. well secondly my motor mounts are completely shot i mean they are ugly and the motor flexes way to much. When the car is at idle it whines and then it will stop sometimes when its in gear. whats really weird is if its whining when sitting still i can get out of the car, pop the hood, push back on the motor and its stops!? Could this be because of the bad motor mounts and its rubbing something? it also happens when the clutch is being pushed at times. When im going down the road it stops but i wont get on it until i figure out what is wrong. thanks for any suggestions! Oh and it also whines the most while in gear and deacclerating.

It sounds like you should get new motor mounts. I would start there.

i guess i can do that.... probably go with the prothanes. im hoping thats all it is. do you think it could be the clutch? its actually pretty new though
