when i start my car there is a weird grinding noise coming from the right side. It sounds like the starter grinding but i just replaced the starter. Also i dont think its starter related because it doesent really do it until i put it into gear. It seems to be transmission related. After about 7min of driving its gone. Could this be fly flywheel related?? and also my transmission is manual
any help would be appreciated

Seems like its comming from the trans. area from what you described. It does sound like a flywheel problem, possibly not making contact or a chipped tooth. Its slipping or loose that is why you are getting the sound.
If not the flywheel check your work on the starter. Make sure everything is tightened down.

yeah i think it might be a chipped tooth or something. Its weird how it does it only when i put it into gear and after awhile its gone. Also when i give it gas or im in higher rpm's its worse

i dont think its anything starter related. It started to do this before i put in the new starter in. Sorry I probably should have mentioned that. Im pretty sure its the flywheel. Does anyone know if it hurts to drive it , if in fact, it is the flywheel?

Ok, so its not the starter, how long has this noise occured? or when did this first start happening, because when i changed to motor on my car i had tha same problem because the gsx flywheel is thicker than the GST flywheel and i got this really bad grinding noise also
