kelowna,
there is a spot on the turbo and on the wastegate and im not sure where or what they do, its a turbonetic turbo that came with the star kit, at the end of the inlet there is a open hole with threads? and on the wastegate on the side also the same thing? i hope im being specific enough

The threaded whole on the side of the wastegate is supposed to be hooked up to your turbo that way the wastegagte knows when to open up at the right amount of boost.

You should try to search for the directions on installing the hahn turbo kit, they are relatively the same install process. Give it a shot.

You don't use that port unless you've got an electronic boost controller.

MBC = manual boost controller.

The turbo has two sides to it: the turbine (the hot side); and the compressor (the cold side). I used the word "compressor outlet" to mean the part of the turbo where compressed air leaves before entering the intercooler; as opposed to the compressor inlet, where your intake should be.

I would just call that hole on your compressor housing a boost source port.

Look at my diagram again...

You DO NOT use the top port if you're just using a manual boost controller, or no boost controller alone.

You use BOTH ports if you're using an electronic boost controller.

The cars in whatever pictures you saw probably had either a manual boost contrller, or no boost controller at all.

ive noticed on some pictures of peoples cars that the hole on the top of the wastegate where it says vacum, they have it open(no fitting there) do u not need one??

Bingo, you don't need one. Out of curiosity, is it a deltagate or another brand. The deltagate on my kit took a shit and I know a lot of other people have said it sucks, so I would keep my eye on it if I was you and keep an eye on your boost gauge too to make sure your not going above what the wastegate is supposed to be set at.

Delta's work just fine, at least if your running an electronic boost controller like me, The boost controller puts pressure on the top of the wastegate so that it helps control how fast the wastegate opens as well.

You can't beat the response you get with a profec B.

Also if your bov has a tendancy to leak, you can use that 2nd nipple on the back to run a vac hose into the intercooler pipe closer to the TB. (you need to have a nipple welded onto it though)

But again it helps from the BOV blowing off early, and you don't have to tighten down the bov as much and put stress on the diaphram in it.
