I recently did a fuel injectors replacement and ended up with a P0302 (cylinder #2 misfire) with all kinds of driving symptoms associated with single cylinder misfire (and possibly running on 3 cylinders).

Well today I went back to my old injectors and found the problem: A cracked O-ring where the injector #2 seats into the intake manifold. Most of the misfire vibrations are gone. The old injectors, though, are old (about 4-5 years) and bit dirty. The cold start on these injectors is a bit weak. I've got some injector cleaner in the system now and we'll see how that goes. But now the engine is basically running normally . The LTFT/STFT readings were high negative (-12.5 in ScanMaster, -17 in Torque) with the defective injector, and they're now going back to something that looks like normal.

My main question today though is, is P0302 a DTC code that will go away on its own?

If erasing the codes is the only way to get rid of the P0302 I'd like to know that. Right now the I/M monitors all show "ready" except for 1. If I clear the codes I'll have to start on that all over again.

Also I'm wondering if anyone has experience with these injectors (INP-0605) which are I'm pretty sure from a Chinese manufacturer. The ones I went back to are Nikki.

No CEL !!!!
Apparently P0302 is a code that goes away after 3 drive cycles without P0302 symptoms.
Now a decision to make on what do with these injectors. They may make a great set of injectors for someone for DD use by replacing the lower o-rings.

If I'm reading the imprints (MDH275) correctly they are 275cc high impedance injectors. How are they different from what you have?

BTW the lower seal is called the injector insulator. The middle one is call the injector sheet used to hold the injector down by the fuel rail against the insulator. and the top is the o-ring that seals the fuel inlet.

Right, I was referring to the injector insulator. Thanks.
The injectors are basically the same across the two part #s, or at least they are supposed to be. The appearance and colors of the exterior are a little different. I don't recall having as much trouble as I did with the seating of the new ones into the intake manifold, compared to the previous ones. Those went in easily the 1st time some years ago, and also yesterday. For the new ones they probably used some other process to manufacture the rubber injector insulator. I don't know if you can see the crack in the cell phone shot.
So Torque is still showing the P0302 in the system, even though the ECU turned the CEL off. It might be "pending" or just in the ECU memory for a little while.
