- Replaced broken timing belt, HG, soon after acquiring from PO with 159K miles in 8/2013. Head swapped with 125K miles stock 4G64 head in 11/2013. 8 new intake valves, 16 new stem seals installed by machine shop. Pistons and bores cleaned up, new rings and rod bearings installed, in-frame rebuild completed in 5/2014. Rebuilt/refreshed engine now at 29K miles, with compression numbers at 180+ psi at last check. Hacked & plasti-dipped aftermarket 2ga front bumper and headlights installed 10/2017. New WP, Gates TB installed 9/2018.
This is my second dsm. The 1st was a 1G Eclipse GS N/T A/T that I drove 25K miles.
