bought the 94 in my avitar off of craigslist for $500.00
we charged the battery and tried to start her up, very quick turning over.
I figure no compression so pulled the valve cover, and found all the intake rockers laying around in oil.
BENT VALVES !
Pulled the head over the weekend and sure enough all intake valves bent and guides blown apart.

worked out ok anyway, going with our 1mm OS nitrated valves and Titanium retainers for this build.

I have 2 heads to tear into for rebuilding my one good head...all the intakes look just like those LOL.

Are you asking if a 1g has variable timing?

na I was just playin round, I know these babies eat intake valves when the timing is not correct. when I hit the key it cranked super fast, I shut er down and rolled out the tool box.

$500.00 clean car and building a big head for it now.

Damn.... You're lucky I didn't see that one on craigslist... I would have tried to get it first :p

1mm OS carbon nitrated stainless valves, Titanium retainers, dual springs, 3 angle seat cut, minor shaving, and of course a set of the delicious DELTA 272 cams, and adjustable cam gears.

No port work, I will chassy dyno it when done to post build results on a budget.
For those who dont have a million $ to dump into their cars, but want some HP.

yipee ! head is done, not in time enough for the NW Krispy Kreme Coffee run this Saturday but done anyway.
Will be setting it on in the next couple days, and gonna run the 272 regrinds.
Will be doing a dyno pull when she is up and running.

We are not vendors on this forum as of yet so I can't promote or sell my product here until we become PAID VENDORS. Just want to hold true to forum rules.

Will become vendors in Jan. 2010
Once we become vendors I will repost our prices for this build, hold tight ;)

In the second to last picture, the one with the underside of the head. It looks as if you have metal shavings overhanging some of the holes as well as chips. Notably, the first slot hole on the left side. The top of it appears to have a overhang of metal. What did you use to resuface the head with?

Until then you can conduct business through private messages and emails....any interested parties are urged to contact Delta direct.

I'm planning on going with a set of Delta 272 regrinds for my FWD TSi; do your DSM regrinds generally require any shimming of the lifters or can they be bolted in as if they were stock?

I had a set of Delta 272/264s and I had to shim the intake cam. They provide the washers. Good people.

The holes had not been chamfered at the time of the pic.
surfaced by the Rottler surfacer and diamond cutters

The pic had me  and was hoping you were gonna clean it up. Good work overall though :applause:
Can't wait to see it finished :thumb:

Trying to get it up and running for our Krispy Kreme run this Saturday, already bolted on after we got it finished up last night.

Not gonna make it out, will have to roll the Delta van instead : (

Thats an interesting regulator, never seen that design
JDM, YO!

No- actually, it is. The one from the JDM 6-bolt in my AWD looks identical:
