What are some other cars that are on par or around the same level as a N/T Eclipse. Preferably a 2G since I am not sure how a 1G N/T runs.

Heh, a CRX is faster also (i learned the hard way...)

Not one with a build motor with a t25 turbo and 100shot of n20....man that thing was a monster sleeper. And they weigh as much as a piece of lettice.

I believe the HP ratings are VERY close, as is the torque (someone posted the exact specs here awhile ago, might be able to dig it up).

BUT, the clicher is what do you mean by faster? The civic weighs ALOT less than an eclipse. We have like 800lbs of Mystery weight (as ive heard it called on 2gnt) that nobody can seem to identify. So the civic could be consitered faster, because less weight = less power to go just AS fast....
Hope that helps some.

your about as fast as the van you pull up next to or that old school no name car from the late 80's

A base civic vs a base eclipse the eclipse would more then likely be the faster car. Depends on what kind of civic. Plus the eclipse looks soo much better

2gnt's can keep up w/ the d series motors that honda puts out, but when you're racing a b series motor civic you'll lose every time. you'll pull on them in first gear and part of second, but after they get above 6k rpm you're toast. i've tried ;) friends civic si spanked in high speed.

I believe our cars can be made respectable on the basic import scene, we can beat LIGHTLY modified civics.

I am going to race a stock Civic Vtec with my stock talon. with my bro. (good driver) in he civic (not his car) tonight. I let yall know how it turns out but I will probably have to post on www.POSDSM.com since it is an "illegal" activity. :thumb:

sad but true. I usually have push it hard not WOT but harder than most to keep up with traffic sometimes...

My RS is auto but i use the low gear alot when i race I just put it in L in stead of D and shift up to D after i start getting close to 6 or 6.5 rpm and i also use overdrive which gives me alot more power at higher speeds. But for a 5 speed it really depends on the driver and how good they can shift but i raced a stock eclipse n/t im assuumming the other night and i beat it off the line and about a mile all the way dont the street useing my Low gear and overdrive.
I also some how beat a bmw 328 or somthing like that (not the m3) but it was also a 2002 plus modle and i beat it off the line and about a 1/2 mile down the street till i slowed down and turned

You know shoving it in L and shifting up is the same thing as having it in D the whole time. The only difference is you're screwing with your transmission, an auto was ment to be shifted automatically, I don't see what the point in shifting.

I would walk my cousin's 2G all of the time with my 92 integra GS when I had it.

civics have one annoying advantage, they can easily rev to 9k rpm without blowing themselves up. BUT they cannot handle a turbo, ive see so many integras, civics, crx's, accords blow thier motors up at the track becasue of turbo. I beat a 16 valve 1991 stock civic hatch back with my 1.8L talon (cold air intake, high output plugs, high flow 2.5' exhaust) and i easily did that, yet what pissed me off is that after that ...a civic si blew my talon away... at least us 1.8L owners got something to bi*** about with no turbo manifolds and other good stuff being made for our car. the 420a in ur cars can be turboed and ur going to be waving good bye to hondas/acuras day long.

btw a civic si has like 200hp stock...which isnt much... i beat one with my dads expidition  5.4L v8 and 7 tons of steel

i kept up with a newer si with a b series swap with full greddy exhaust and intake.dunno if it was a b20 or 18 though,i forget.

i can recal many time that i kept neck to neck with the civic SI with them only having exhaust and intake and all i had on my car was the same... but mine was gutted i dobt that made a difference but ?? i dont know...
