Alright,

I'm building a 7 bolt stroker for my TSi AWD.

I want opinions on the actual stroker kit. I would like to get a BC0109 or BC0108, but several people think it's just a waste of money and that using the 4G64 crank and other pistons and rods would work just as well for less cost.

Waste of money? Most likely.
If you want a 2.4L DOHC, go to the junk yard and pull a 98+ 4G64 for $100. Then all you'll need for the engine internals are better rods, a headgasket, rod bearings and 64/63 hybrid pistons. You can reuse almost everything else from your 4G63.

For the price of the BC kit you could go buy a 2.4 block an eagle crank. your prefered rods. and pistons. and probably still not even spend that much on it.... I doubt i would spend that much on a stroker kit for the 4g63. It was rather cheap to build the 2.4 for my car. I spent right around 1200 for my block, machine wrok, rods, bearing, and pistons. I personally think that kit is a rip off.
