I love how a 42R looks in an our engine bays.. its like Intimidating but yet sexy at the same time...:D

but anyway.. to stay on topic. having an 0/2 dump should still pass emissions though rite? because it doesnt actaully open till full boost.

An o2 dump will pass emissions if it has a catacalysmic device on it. Which defeats the purpose of doing it Id say. So, no. Your going to fail any visual inspection with that. Especially with an externally gated turbo. Unless you could hokey rig some lower heatshield from the stocker, and make sure your car isnt dyno tested. AWD would have the only way on this.

I passed emissions with mine, even with a visual inspection. I don't think they knew what they were looking at, though. They certainly didn't make the dump open when testing the car on the emissions dyno. If they hit full boost with my car while doing that, someone would get fired.

I think you mean "catalytic" ;)

That's interesting....the turbo in the pic I displayed is a Frank Level 5 20G on my buddy's TSi AWD. That dump doesn't make a sound until 22psi is made, and when it does open you know it.

If yours begins to dump at 10psi, something's wrong with your wastegate actuator or the way the flapper's sealing. You shouldn't hear any exhaust coming out of the dump tube until you've reached your target boost level.

I haven't tested it with the AVCR off but chances are it's releasing it early. I only have it set to 1.2 bar.

LOL justin thats an amazing idea....u think id at least get 250 for it....? i have an overdue payment wink wink haha

Man thats a sexy setup ..if i ever hit the lottery ...thats for me ...well im trying to work at my talon slowly as money is always a issue with us poor people ...:cry::D:D
