So yesterday I put on my xs-performance open o2 dump. Before I took the old one off, my car was set at 16psi, put the new o2 dump on, didn't adjust anything, all of a sudden my car was pushing 23-24psi with alot of fuel cut. I turned it back down and started from the beginning, got it back to about 14psi then the car lost all power and became a dog. Pulled the plugs, in cylinder 1 and 4 the plugs were pretty much melted. Put new plugs in, but the motor still has no power and shakes a bunch. Any ideas? I'm guessing the timing jumped, but why would my open dump cause this?

Sorry, my post wasn't directed at you.

What did you all remove to install the dump? An open dump should never hurt spool, or boost. It's all gains. It sounds like something was not reinstalled properly. It's irrelevant at this point as you need to figure out what failed though.

Just took the bolts off from the original o2 housing to the turbo, took out the o2 sensor, unbolted the exhaust pipe side, took out the old o2 housing, put in the new one with new gaskets, bolted everything back together, put the o2 sensor back in. Drove the car 5 miles, it was pushing 23-24psi right away so I pulled over, turned it all the way back down which was 9 psi, then drove it for a bit, kept turning it up a bit at a time to get it back to 16 psi, then the car lost all power and the motor started shaking, limped it home, pulled the plugs and saw 2 of the 4 melted. All in that order.

Ordered a bore scope so this weekend Ima look inside to see what the walls and pistons look like, if they look fine I'll do the compression check, if not, well obviously means it'll be pulled apart hah
