Doesn't make much sense since the "better/newer one" is only $100 more.
Are the compressor identical, even given different wheel sizes? If so, I never heard of "porting" a compressor housing like I have heard of porting a turbine housing...

I guess you are trading spool/efficiency for a little more top end and $100.
