I'd be curious what it looks like under the hood of the rally car in the third picture. That slit in the headlight makes me wonder if the intake is on the driver's side.

These are great press shots! When you get a chance please scan them. I'm most interested in the IMSA race photos. I do not have those. If you have double copies I'd be interested. Awesome stuff again. The 1G pin is pretty cool too! Thanks for sharing....

I've got all these....very cool......just no press photos. Wolin's cars did pretty good, but Paul Rossi's dominated IMSA. It's because they were Talons

Racing a Gullwing? That's different.

Yup, Dave Wolin was the one who built up all the Team Mitsubishi USA cars back in the day. If I'm not mistaken, RRE bought all of Wolin's Eclipses when they were no longer being campaigned. Wolin and Team Mitsu back in the day use to bring one of their racing Eclipses to hospitals to help terminally ill children live out a dream. There was even a cut up 1G eclipse that was carted around in a huge concert style box for kids to sit in that could not leave the hospital. Much respect to Wolin and his crew for being such an ambassador for the sport.

(MMSA) and its motorsports division, Team Mitsubishi, will begin its year-long nationwide affiliation with the Starlight Foundation, an international charity that helps brighten the lives of critically, chronically and terminally ill children. The initial kick- off celebration will take place at UCLA Harbor Hospital on March 21 at 10 a.m.
Team Mitsubishi will be on hand at the hospital to visit with the children. Additionally, the crew will display the 1992 Eclipse GS Turbo race car, which will be one of the vehicles used when the team tours the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) auto racing circuit to raise funds in support of the Starlight Foundation.
"The Mitsubishi/Starlight team is a great way to increase local community awareness for these special children and for the Starlight Foundation itself," said Emma Samms, actress and co-founder of the Starlight Foundation. "We are delighted to have the support Mitsubishi Motors is providing to the foundation on a national scale and appreciate the race car drivers help in making a child's fantasy become reality."
While touring more than 10 national SCCA races, Team Mitsubishi will visit selected hospitals and be available to take pictures with children in the 1992 Eclipse GS Turbo race car. Additionally, for children who are unable to come out and see the vehicle, a mock ####-pit has been built to accommodate children inside the hospital, where photos will also be available.

Pretty awesome stuff! The DSM road racing is my favorite part of DSM history. The drag racing stuff definitely has it's place, but the road racing stuff is great. These cars really did well.
