oil leak

im leaking oil out of the front of the head. I am missing an exhaust bolt. could that be where the oil is coming from

Are you talking about the exhaust manifold stud? I believe that would cause only an exhaust leak, not an oil leak.
 
The front of the head to me means the area where the cam gears are located, if you really mean the front of the head then its probably the cam seals or valve cover gasket on that side. :hmm:
 
thanks for the input guys. figured it out. one of the exhaust studs actually blocks off an oil port in yhe block. thanks for trying though.

oh and for the record, 19eclipse90 was the one who informed me earlier, big props.

And just what useful information are you trying to obtain from this thread? The middle exhaust stud on the bottom row threads into an oil port on the head. That was the cause of the OP's leak and once he figured that out, the issue was resolved.
