Oil filter housing, AN fittings need O-ring? (pic)

Setting up an external oil cooler. Installed the AN fittings. Do these require an O-ring?

try to find some copper crush washers or nylon is what i used.

Use the factory washers.

Do I see thread sealer there? You should not use any sealer on these threads. Those fittings are made to seal with a copper, nylon or aluminum washer. It's a good idea to replace these for a 100% seal. You can pick them up at almost any parts store. Just ask for a drain plug gasket/washer for that size.

You may have to explain to the parts counter person that its metric! they dont seem to understand the concept where im from, there always like is that from a chevy 350

Most stores around here (Advance, Auto Zone, NAPA) have a box of assorted sizes. I think the size you need for these is 18mm.
