OK, I finally got the transmission in my 90 laser turbo and i was driving after i got it back together and i noticed the car burns oil really bad but not from the exhaust. If I drive it without hitting boost you can't see the smoke unless I stop. The smoke is coming from under the turbo where it looks like a lot of oil is sitting (crossmember looking thing). Also there is a little bit of smoke coming out from behind the block/intake manifold area? I hope its just the feed/return line or something easy. Help me out please. Thanks in advance Zach

Look at the feedline. You will be able to tell if there is a leak. This could be caused from bad crush washers or banjo bolts. The return line could be leaking from a bad gasket.

Block leak could be a rear main seal IMO.

Dealership. They are pretty exspensive. Make sure its the line rather then bad washers or banjo bolts as stated above.

ok what oil line goes into the back the block thats where the oil is coming from its leaking down and hitting my exhaust its not the axle seals and i dont think its the rear main seal, because its deffinetly coming from the back of the block???????? Some one please help me!!!!

I doubt your line is the problem. I had a leak from mine as well and it was the banjo bolt and washers-the oil was allover the front crossmember as well. Most likely this or the gasket is your problem. I would go ahead and try to replace this stuff before dropping the coin on new lines.

and this is in the back of the block>? the banjo bolt that u can see from under hood in the turbo isnt leaking

ok im coming to a conclusion that its the oil return line since it goes behind the block, also where do i get the gasket for this ?

Hey i had the exact same problem it can only be leaking from two places either turbo oil return line or top of turbo main oil line. Make sure you have new gaskets and original ones. Make them as tight as possible. Make sure you have new crush washers they have to be tightened really hard to but be carefull not to overtighen the banjo bolts because they snap easy and are very expensive. Also once everything is tightened take a cloth and wipe away all oil you can see on the bottom of the car new the turbo and engine. Should solve your problem.

Only dealers have gaskets and crush washers. Or you can order them online but you have to look around.

but it behind the block not the turbo? i dont know, i gotta wait for a friend to get done wor so he can run me to get some oil since my dipstick is showing no oil and i gotta get the car to my buddies house to jack it up but it looks like its coming from above/around the drivers axle at the transmsiion but its not the axle seals

If you get a chance, post some pics so we can better see what you are talking about. The return line doesn't go to the back of the block. It goes into the front of the oil pan (side nearest front of car), so I'm a little confused as to what might be leaking.
