I'm to the point now where the stock crankcase ventilation isn't enough. Right now I just have a vented JNZtuning catch can with the stock ports on the valve cover. I'd like to utilize the -12an bung I welded onto the front balance shaft hole while building the motor. I was planning on just venting it for now and maybe down the road using the exhaust to scavenge from the catch can. My question is should I add some baffling to the catch can? or some type of filter?

Anyone have pics of a vacuum assisted set-up? I do believe that would be the proper/safer way also. I've looked a little into one way check valves also months ago, but couldn't find one specifically for my application (jmfab catch can with two -10an lines and an air breather on top) for a decent price. Some are over 100 bills. Was looking for two inline check valves for -10an, or a single check valve to place on top of catch can where the air breather/filter is. I've been running this set-up with no check valves and no vacuum for like a year. But I don't like the idea of the possibility of moisture actually being introduced into the valve cover/motor from the -10an lines due to vapor/condensation/temp differences. It has to be possible, so, any one with pics of vacuum assist set-up? No pics=non-existant.

I actually just mocked up a baffled catch can I made using a cad deigner. If I can figure out how to post from the cad I will if not I have sketches I'll post. Mock was done with poster board for figment in two locations two designs were made for different applications.

Yes this can be done and many old school dragsters do it this way but an actually vacuum source like the j pipe, comp housing, ic pipe or anything like that is better. There isnt quite enough vacuum created from using the exhuast so it doesnt pull out as much crankcase pressure.

Link to facts showing not enough vacuum is produced on DSM exhaust to make this work?
