As the title says. This is another exhaust thread. But I don't think anyone has ever posted about this kind of exhaust. This is my idea. .

3" pipe from the down pipe back w/ no cat and a 6" round 18" long 3" in/out magnaflow muffler. Then a simple turn down before the rear axle. Note I am thinking of doing this cause I have a GST and 3" exhaust under the axle might cause problems if I want to lower it. This is my, cheap idea for now. I got a price from a local muffler shop. $80 to install it since it involves taking to cat off.

Is this a good idea or not? Do you think it would sound like sh!t? Personally I think it would sound nice since magnaflow's have a nice deep tone to it. Any opinions, good or bad, are welcome.

i would do it for sure, if you get something sweet that you like for only 80 bucks than its a steal. Most people spend 300-400 for their bolt on systems, and i paid 200 to make mine, so yea it sounds like a good idea 2 me.

go for it. Just make sure you get the outlet in a position that will not blow exhaust into the windows at stop lights.

Also if you are having the cat removed you may need to trailer the car up there as many states have huge fines for stuff like that unless the shot has a reason to believe you when you say it is for off road use.

I live in Iowa. We don't have cat's on our Stang. The cops really don't care around here. I'll probably do this when ever I get the money together.
