Your cheaper way may cost you an engine, a walbro pump runs around 85 -90$ and if you watch they can be had for 60 new from our vendors. My 190 I had in my 97 was only 65 shipped my 255 in my 93 was 85 with install kit dont be lazy and cheap. If you cant afford to modify your car correctly you shouldnt be modding it period.

i was just looking for a ballpark estimate on how much power i have

i dont need an exact number but am i around 200? 300?

A good way to estimate WHP without going to a dyno is to weigh your car, and take it to the 1/4 mile track. Note the trap speed vs. the weight of the car, enter those two into a WHP estimator online.

I'll guess too.. On 10psi, with no tune, through the auto trans, 165whp.
 
190 hp. You're making less power with that turbo than you would with a 14b. A 16g is not efficient at 10psi. You need to wake that turbo up then you'll start putting down some power. But before you can do that you need some fuel mods. So get a fuel pump, you could start off with something cheap like an Evo 8/9 fuel pump. They can be picked up used for $30-40. Next I would get ECMLink v3 lite and a set of injectors. Then you can start tuning and up your boost and probably gain an easy 75 hp.
 
C'mon guys seriously, he's probably more around 550hp, you guys are just jealous.

can you guys give me an answer to this question? , mods list in my profile. but here's what is got done. i just got rebuilt head. i made 270 whp last year with badass lifter tick,SafcII and, un-gapped sparkplugs. ( i didin't know until i got to the dyno LOL), also my head was in bad condition ran 13.2 , valves were out of seat. heres what i just got done, machined head, valves relaped and re-seated, HKS stopper headgasket, 2g genuine lifters ( had serious lifter tick before), 1g HD headstuds, HKS 272 cams, dsmlink v3 its gona be tuned on. do you guys think i can beat a TT audiS4? that has stock turbos, 3 inch turboback no cats, FMIC, chip, water/meth? and also what do you guys think i should run at the track with this new set-up? actually i really need to beat this guy.
 
here we go for a laugh:p not all parts on car and it will be dyno'd in month or so but for now lets see what i get for answers stock motor intake, ported o2 housing, 2.5 dp, 3in catback, ported manifold, 14b turbo at 17psi, walbro 255, ffwd fuel kit, 47 psi fuel press, no tune but wideband and logged not running lean or knocking past 3 counts. What you all think?
 
so I bought a half-way built 1g Talon TSi from a fellow dsmer here

list of mods:
rebuilt '90 6-bolt engine with 2g pistons
aluminum flywheel
k&n filters
frankenstein 16g turbo
aftermarket intake manifold
balance shafts removal
stage 2 exedy clutch

I think that's about it, so anyone have a rough estimate? because I'm just aiming up to 350 max hp
 
Read the rules man, no bench racing besides in the designated thread. And for future references, need a lot more things to even get a nut shot of whp.
 
Well there are two things to check then..Injectors should have what size they are on the side of them..And the pump, Well if it's a 190 then the fpr(fuel pressure regulator) is most likely stock..It the pump was upgraded to a 250, then under the hood you should have an aftermarket fpr...

Also a question for you..Have you actually ran the car at 16 psi, and at 21 psi? Or are you just wanting numbers without trying it first?
