OEM paint

I just bought my car not too long ago. It's a 97 but it's only got 65k miles on it, so the paint is still in pretty good condition. There are a few stratches and a little bit of curb rash on the front bumper from the previous owner. Does anyone know where i can get paint to fix up the stratches that is an exact match of the car? Or do i just have to guess and come close to the color?

You can go to NAPA if you want and order a paint pen for the Kalpalana Black color they have. Just scroll through there paint book and find it. I used it on my 95 GST and worked really well.

I have used duplicolor black it works pretty good, can't tell where I put it.

You could try to get those scratches buffed out first..

I forgot to add, my car is red. Of course looking at my profile would tell that. So black does me no good.

The color code for your car is R87. Most body shops would be able to mix you a small container of it. I had St. Joe Autobody mix me a small brush-top bottle of it for my car. Yours would be the same color, so I know they can do it for you.

Now i know this doesnt fit this post very well but since were on the topic of paint... i own a 95 eagle talon, my question is did they use a diffrent red on the 97-99 eclipse? sorry for such a newb question but i need to know since the car is going to be repainted because of the black top.

oh and btw... advanced autoparts sells that paint marker, ive seen it listed in the book.
