My friend runs these In a few cars at his shop ( 500whp hondas) . What he does is tear then apart( for peace of mind) and rebuilt them to like Quaife torque specs with locktight. He has yet to have one break , alot of these cars run slicks on the weekends too.

I run a TRE phantom grip lsd insert, Jon an TRE ( the owner/builder of my trans) guaranteed that I could not break this even after I told him that this was a daily/weekend warrior and would probably see use of slicks on the weekend. My opinion for the the price it is well worth it, it took a lot of the torque steer out of my gst and traction got a lot better. Price was 85 from TRE.

Does anyone got obx in their dsm? I heard there great for hondas also but idk about dsm. I've also heard nothing but bad things about the phantom grip. I havnt decided whether to get an LSD or drag radials. How much more would an LSD benifit at the track with out slicks or radials?

In my opionion alot, then you will have a option of going to slick/drag radials later. I run a decent street tire( all summer tire) it helped a lot all around with launching. The biggest thing to check with the lsd insert is check tolerances of the spider and diff gears. Jon was telling me that the reason that people have problems with the LSD is that they use them isn worn tolerance diffs causing a lot of issues.

85 dollars?

Obx changed the way they was building there diffs from how they use to be, I had to do some extra work to get it to work but it works fine, I havent ran slicks on my car yet or anything, but my gst has hks, 264 degree cams intake and exhast side, arp head studs, metal mls head gasket, fp hta 68 turbo with exuast manifold, 3inch from the cat back, poly mounts, dsmlink v3light, walbro 255, obx lsd, rear and front strut bar, mitsumoto radiator and other stuff, i run 26 pounds of boost on my car normally, had it for 5 years and its my daily driver. I drive my car pretty hard though, i had this diff in for a year now and it hasnt broke yet.
