Am considering one of these and would like to hear the opinions of people WHO HAVE THEM,both pros and cons. Most info I find seems old. any help is appreciated.

As has been discussed before multiple times, the one that OBX specifies for our car, does not fit. I have run a Quaife LSD and would never run anything but it. I ran a Slowboy insert as well and for low hp cars, they work decent but the Quaife is just such a better product and you can feel it in the driving.

How DO they feel on the road, ( how is it different other than supplying power to both wheels)I was going to put that in my question.

Could not agree more.. i've driven inserts, clutch types (mainly in RWD with KAAZ diffs) and i've driven both FWD and RWD with quaiffe and there's nothing to hear or let you know that anything is going on except for the fact that when the power is being produced it goes to the ground!!!!period... The scariest thing in a FWD with a quaife is changing lanes under enough power to lock it, cause as soon as you steer just a tad the car just pulls inoto the other lane and sometimes until you're use to it you'll over compensate LOL

I love mine.. I use to pegleg burnout one street tire through 3rd losing to NA hondas cause they hooked up from the light, but after getting the quaife, the 300hp range was compeltely able to be put to teh ground and i had to actually launch at 5k on street tires to avoid a bog

as i said in another post today, it's probably some o fthe best money i've EVER spent on my DSM, right up there with a stand alone an converting to E85

inmserts can "get you by" but once you start making good power and trying to launch hard, something is going to blow out the side of the trans..plain and simple (or you may get lucky enough to just break some peices inside) LOL
