Hey, my 91 laser CEL came in for O2 sensor. I ordered an NTK one to find out that the connectors are different and it only has 4 wires instead of 5. I can’t find any 5 wire sensors. Is the one in my car OEM or aftermarket. And what is that thing on the connector? Looks like a chip of some sort or something. Thanks for the help.

The factory 02 sensor has a round connector with 4 wires. The plug you have in the 2nd to last picture is not correct for your car.

The one you are holding that is installed on the car is going to be some type of wideband 02 sensor which someone put in the factory hole and since there is no factory o2 sensor connected to the ECU it's going to set a code.

Thanks for the reply but I found out that the O2 sensor in the car is for the aftermarket AEM A/F ratio gauge. But I found the part.

Found out it was an aftermarket wide band sensor. Found the correct one

Simplest way to erase a fault code on a 1G ECU it disconnect the battery for a few seconds. (Unplugging the small ECU connector will work)

If you have a datalogger 91-94 model year ECUs have a command that also will clear the fault codes. 1990 ECUs don't have that command in their software.
