2G no spark onto #1 and #4

hello im a newbie and a newbie to cars, i have a 96 eclipse gst and im not getting any spark onto 1&4. its making a really bad noise as well. I check the computer with the scanner and im getting P0300 random Misfire. i changed my ignition coil. i did a lot of things. the weird thing about this, is once this started happening my dash board lights stay on after i remove the key and wont go away. i hope the video helps you guys help me [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hft1ZdqvHFw&feature=youtube_gdata]2g eclipse no spark 1&4 - YouTube[/ame]

I would pull you ecu and remove the cover and check to see if the caps are leaking there acid I had this on one of mine ....

I had a bad cam sensor on mine. and no spark on the same plugs. i have a 95 eclipse thought. I would check CAS on right side (passenger side) of block.

It could be the CAS I would make sure your spark plug wires are good with a volt meter.

Probably a bad coil.

Im thinking they are two separate problems unless they happened at the same time?

Its easy to check your ecu caps though and rule that out.

Also i believe cylinder 1 and 4 are on the same coil and if so id suspect that as your ignition problem.

Just to be clear too and for future reference. You need to ground out the spark plug to actually see it "spark." I.E touch it against the valve cover or something equivalent. Though sometimes you can be the ground but thats not the preferred method. Spark testers are cheap also from any auto parts store.

I would try the computer. Ive read low voltage can cause a miss as well but idt it would have no spark like that.
